Corrida e Caminhada solidária encheu esta manhã o IPO-Porto

O IPO Porto recebeu esta manhã de domingo, dia 22 de setembro, 3 mil participantes que decidiram celebrar os 50 anos de existência do IPO Porto com a participação na “Corrida e Caminhada 50 anos IPO Porto”. O valor da inscrição reverteu na totalidade para projetos de investigação em oncologia.

Esta iniciativa foi desenvolvida pela instituição em colaboração com a Runporto, a Câmara Municipal do Porto, o Instituto Português do Desporto e Juventude (IPDJ) e a Agência Nacional Erasmus+ Educação e Formação.

O tiro de partida ouviu-se às 10h00 da manhã, dado pelo presidente do IPO Porto Júlio Oliveira, tendo assim dado início a este evento solidário.

Uma manhã especial, mas onde o espírito competitivo também esteve presente

Mesmo sendo uma prova onde o espírito de solidariedade reine, a competição também esteve presente. 

No setor masculino, Jorge Pires (Ginásio Clube Bragança) foi o grande vencedor com 00:18:08, seguindo-se de Hélder Brito (PAC Running Academy), que terminou com 00:18:14 e para finalizar o pódio João Mário com 00:18:25.

Já Inês Augusto (Águias de Alvelos) ficou com o lugar mais alto no pódio feminino, depois de ter cortado a meta aos 00:20:25, na segunda posição, Márcia França (Estrela Susanenses) com o tempo 00:20:52, seguida por Louise Ocana 00:21:21.

Jorge Teixeira iniciou a cerimónia de pódio entregando as lembranças ao IPO-Porto e à Câmara Municipal do Porto. Para a entrega dos prémios aos atletas esteve presente Júlio Oliveira, Presidente do IPO-Porto, Catarina Araújo, Vereadora da Câmara Municipal do Porto, Vitor Dias, Diretor Regional do IPDJ, Luís Alves, Diretor da Agência Nacional Erasmus + Juventude/Desporto e Corpo Europeu de Solidariedade e João Pereira, Diretor de Comunicação e Relações Públicas da Hyundai.
