Goldenergy Meia Maratona de Matosinhos contou com 3500 participantes

A 5ª edição da Goldenergy Meia Maratona de Matosinhos Mar de Desporto preencheu as ruas da marginal de Leça da Palmeira na manhã deste domingo com 3500 participantes valentes que fizeram frente às condições climatéricas que a manhã propôs.

Às 09h00 ouviu-se o tiro de partida na Av. da Liberdade, dado pelo vereador da CM Matosinhos, Nuno Matos juntamente com a atleta olímpica Fernanda Ribeiro e Henrique Calisto representante da Matosinhos Sport, dando assim início à corrida cronometrada de 21 km e à Mini/Caminhada de 7 km, sem fins competitivos.

Momentos antes houve uma partida simbólica para Pedro Valente, atleta de desporto adaptado que também fez a prova dos 21km. 

Este ano, o evento contou com a participação de atletas vindos dos quatro cantos do mundo, foram 35 os países representados que correram por vários pontos característicos da cidade de Matosinhos.

Joseph Koech e Dibabe Beyene foram os grandes vencedores

Com uma elite internacional de peso, a chegada ao Farol da Boa Nova foi protagonizada por uma grande disputa pelo primeiro lugar entre os atletas. Contudo, Joseph Koech (Quénia) foi o primeiro atleta a alcançar a linha da meta, com o tempo oficial de 01:04:15.
Na segunda posição ficou Kassahun Aweke Asaye (Etiópia) que terminou a prova com 01:04:18, a finalizar o pódio masculino ficou o português Miguel Borges do SC Braga com o tempo 01:04:22.

No setor feminino, Dibabe Beyene (Etiópia) foi a grande vencedora, tendo chegado à meta aos 01:12:05.
Em segundo lugar ficou a espanhola Ester Navarrete Santana, que terminou a prova com 01:14:23, seguindo-se da portuguesa Sara Duarte, também do SC Braga que finalizou com 01:15:33.

A metereologia não foi impedimento para a cerimónia de pódio que como já é tradição foi presenteada com a vista para o mar do oceano atlântico e dando assim mais ênfase ao nome do evento: Goldenergy Meia Maratona de Matosinhos Mar de Desporto. O diretor da Runporto, Jorge Teixeira e a atleta olímpica Fernanda Ribeiro entregaram as lembranças à Câmara Municipal de Matosinhos e ao patrocinador principal do evento, Goldenergy.
Para a entrega dos troféus estiveram presentes da Câmara Municipal de Matosinhos o vice-presidente Carlos Mouta e o vereador Nuno Matos, em representação da Goldenergy main sponsor do evento esteve Silvia Pinto e Henrique Calisto foi o representante da Matosinhos Sport.
